PostSubject: A few old games:Lineage 1, Diablo, Ultima Online...   Mon Jan 14, 2008 5:24 am

Hiya's members of Mogglin forums. I was wondering if we could discuss what makes these four old games so darn addicting if you ever played them. To people who are completely oblivious to what these games are about:

Lineage 1: A mass multiplayer online roleplaying game which allows people to start 5 epic characters Elf, Knight, Dark Elf, Mage, and Prince. Essentially, all the game is about is to grind, boss hunt, chat, or siege while listening to elegant music which is looped.

Diablo 1, 2, and Expansion: To sum this one up pretty quickly, all you do is go through different acts in the game becoming stronger and stronger to complete the storyline. The only other options are to look at the best cinematics NCSoft has ever created or to player kill amongst each other.

Ultima Online: Quite a fun game if you pick the right shard, you are given the option to be a crafter, player killer, and or roleplayer. While playing in this imaginary game, you are allowed to experience different types of game styles in various shards that are created by players. Sorry that I can't clarify this game much more, but each shard is pretty unique.

Priston Tale: Another Epic Game with 8 characters. Fighter, Pikeman, Archer, Mechanic, Knight, Atlantian, Priestess, and Mage. I have no idea why I couldn't quit this game, maybe it was because the pikeman character looked so cool with a mask, long hood, scythe, and armor with spikes pointing out.

Throughout my childhood, I kept replaying these darn games even though I said I would quit to an extent where it becomes redundant and also agitates the heck out of my older brother. Some reasons why I was addicted to these 4 might be due to the music, older player base community, and to the horrible new mmorpg's that are all rip offs of Maple Story. These newer games probably contain a bunch of young age groups which spend their parents credit cards on cash shop items to be godly beyond comparison or hack a game to be the best.

- If you played any of these games, please share why they were addicting to you!
